This should help to dispel the patronizing notion that proper liturgical music for the ubiquitous "Spanish Mass" in many parishes in the U.S. necessarily involves a mariachi band.
I've also wondered what sacred music might look like in a Spanish Mass in the US. There are some fine polyphonic pieces written in Spanish; "Pan divino" and "Oh Virgen, cuando os miro" by Francisco Guerrero, for example.
