Working on this book I have been all over the internet seeking information. Cpdl.org and imslp.org are bookmarked on my MacBook Pro and are wonderful sources.
Doing these searches turns out to be like walking down a street and running into friends in surprising places.
Musica Sacra is the work of many people, but the torch has been held and tended for many years by Dr. William Mahrt. Over and over again while searching for translations from the Latin for this Choirbook, I came upon one name, William Mahrt.
With the many years he has spent with the St Ann choir and his careful documentation of their repertoire, I guess I should not have been surprised. But when I find music that is on their list there is no doubt that it is Catholic!
