At the daily sung Mass at Westminster Cathedral today, I listened carefully to the beautifully chanted Alleluia before the Gospel, believing that I was hearing the last Alleluia of the season.
But then came the Communion motet. I hadn’t counted on the exuberant Alleluias of Hassler’s O Sacrum Convivium.
In the video below it was sung, not for Shrove Tuesday, but in light of a Bavarian priest who was visiting that day.
