Listening to this talk made me smile as I have opened many a music class with the same example using Happy Birthday. Thank you for posting this.
How 'bout singing the "Happy Birthday" song at Christmas Mass? 😉
It's happened at families-with-kids early Christmas Eve Masses, usually the same one that has the little cherubs' Christmas pageant. Someone once described it at the Christmas Eve Zoo Mass.
That's what Psalm 2 is: the Father singing Happy Birthday to His Son.
