  1. A few things:

Note the copyright on the document. Looks like the Kiwis borrowed something from the South Africans.

Also, this sheet has Pope Benedict's new dismissal formulas. Maybe that's what's gumming up the works.

If we get to keep "Christ Has Died," I may not use it, but if it keeps a few sets of teeth grit, it should provide some entertainment.

  2. It differs from the version now up at the US bishops website (e.g. prayer after the confiteor, Nicene Creed, Sanctus, doxology at the end of the Eucharistic Prayer.)

I thought all of the English language countries were going to use the same version.

  3. I'm a little confused by this…certain internet sources have said that the world would end with this new translation, and that it would be worse than the priest abuse scandal. Can anyone explain? I don't understand how it was implemented without a hitch. I was told the world would end.

  4. Uh this is not from New Zealand… This is from South Africa. The link is from a parish in the Arch Diocese of Johannesburg. I'm not sure what the New Zealanders will be using, but as I mentioned in one of the other posts, we have been using this here in South Africa for a few years now and it works very well.

  5. Greetings from sunny South Africa. Indeed we make use of it.Its called classic disobedience…oh and the Windy City(Port Elizabeth) ignored the vigil for nascent life so…ja…no surprises this side.
