If you’re thinking of starting a children’s choir at a parish, I would suggest that you just go ahead and do it. I began recruiting this weekend for a children’s choir at a parish, not a huge parish, and not necessarily a young parish, and immediately 25 young people signed up. That’s 25 Catholic Christians, who are willing to help out at their parish, just waiting to be asked. Few things take as little time, mean so much to so many, and begin to pay off right away, while leaving a lasting legacy for the future of the Church and her liturgy.
